The provided graph illustrates on how the infant mortality and life expectancy and percentages of GDP are representing health and education in UAE in 1970 to 1992 and 1985 to 1993. The increased expenditure in health and education can be seen give positive impact to the life expectancy.
The education expenditure shows an upward trend from 1985 to 1993. The education expenditure were experiencing a significant jump in 1990, which has 4% bigger than 1985. The number keep slightly went up in the following year, 1993. Different type of trends happened in the health’s GDP, which experienced a fluctuation. From 1985 to 1990, the health’s GDP went a light drop for about one percent. After that, the number sharply increased to ten percent. In the line graph, the life expectancy and infant mortality numbers showed a completely reversed trend to each other. Th e life expectancy number keep rise gradually from 1970 to 1992, where increased 10 in the end of following year compared to 1970 number. Compared to that, the infant mortality showed a remarkable transformation, which has a plunge from 1970 to 1992, decreased by 70%.
Overall, the graph showed positive trend for almost every component except for infant mortality, where the number decreased rapidly.
