Overall, it is apparent that the fine is increased drastically over the period, however, the accidents on road keep fluctuating. Individual opinion on this is camera are used for generating revenue.
In the initial year, the fine charged was only 200,000, but this number gradually surge approximately to 600,000 after five years. And this ratio rapidly increased to 1,600,000 in the remaining years. Moreover, 3,100 people were lost their lives in the first year and it grow to more 400 in three years, but it declined by 600 after a year. This kept fluctuating for more two years between 3,000 and 3,400, while it inclined in remaining years and stood at almost 3,500.
Furthermore, most people believe that the cameras on road are mainly for raising the revenue, where a few think that it is for improvement of road safety, only a 3% of people do not know the reason behind this. On reducing road accidents only 32% of people agree but most of the people (60%) disagree, while 8% do not know the consequences of speed cameras.
