The diagram shows how chocolate is produced. Overall, the process has ten main stages, starting with growing cocoa and ending with pressing the beans.
At the first stage, cacao trees are grown in South America, Africa, and Indonesia. Next, the cacao pods are picked, and their outer layer is removed to get the cocoa beans. Then, the cocoa beans are fermented and spread in the sun to dry. After that, the cocoa beans are put in large sacks. Subsequently, the beans are transported to the factory to make chocolate. At the factory, the cocoa beans are roasted. After roasting, the beans are crushed to get the inner part of the bean.
In the final stage, this inner part is pressed using a machine to get the cocoa butter, which is needed to make chocolate. Finally, the process finishes with packing the chocolate before it is sent to shops.
