The maps show the overall appearance of an island and how it changed after some tourist facilities were added. Overall, the island experienced significant development and, having once been barren and uninhabited, it has now become an attractive tourist destination. The major changes can be seen in providing convenience for tourists by constructing a number of hubs to stay and improving connectivity by building footpaths and a track for vehicles. In addition, other recreational facilities were added without disturbing the island’s natural landscape.
Before transformation, the island was undeveloped, featuring only natural landscapes such as palm trees scattered around it and a beach on the north-west. By contrast, the second map shows the addition of road footpaths connecting hubs and a vehicle track which lead to reception in the centre and restaurant in the north.
Further developments consist of a pier in the southern part of the island allowing sailing boats to be bound to the docks and swimming facility on the beach in the northwest. It is also worth noting that palm trees on the west and east side of the island remained untouched after even such great changes.
