It is noticeable that the number of students applying to Atherton univerisity was the highest. Notably, there was a significant drop in the figure of Lakewood univeristy throughout the period.
In 1980, Atheron received about 4400 applications, double the figure for Alstead. The volume of students applying to Atherton univerisity experienced a sudden increase from approximately 4400 to nearly 6400, after which it slightly declined to around 6100 in 2010. Alstead univeristy witnessed a similar trend its figure started at just over 2200 applications in 1980, after which this figure rose sharply to 6600 20 years later before falling to around 4300 by the end of the period.
Meanwhile, approximately 5000 applications were sent to the university of Lakewood in 1980, remarkably higher than the figure for Linslade College at about 2800. After collapsing from 4800 to 3500 in the first five years, Lakewood witnessed a steep decrease in the number of applicants at 2700 throughtout the rest of the period. In contrast, there was a wild fluctuation in the figure for Linslade college between around 2500 and 3500 units between 1980 and 2005, eventually reaching 3000 in 2010.
