The line chart provides information on the employment sectors of the United States from 1975 to 2025. The data is given in millions.
Overall, service sector displayed a positive trend throughout the given period as opposed to agriculture, which seemed to be continuously declining. Manufacturing, however, showed fluctuating patterns.
Services began at only 20 million people in 1975 and from that onwards, there had been a consistent growth in this sector. Projections reveal that this sector will reach a peak of 90 million people by 2025. On the other hand, agriculture employed 80 million people in 1975 and the figure remained same for two years. After 1977, farming witnessed a steady fall in its number and it is anticipated that this will go as low as around 10 million towards the end of the given period.
Moving on to the manufacturing field, started under 10 million in the beginning, this sector peaked to 40 million within five years. However, the rate of employment declined after 1980 and is expected to come back to the same number in 2025 as at the outset.
