The graph illustrates the rate of misconducts by age in tens of thousands whereas the pie chart gives the proportion of crimes in the UK throughout the last year.
Overall, people of the age between 16 and 24 years engaged in most of the crimes with the residents aged 20 years peaking it. In addition, among all the crimes the lion’s share was violent crime and the lowest crimes were recorded as public misconducts.
To start with, crime rate for the juveniles of age between 0-8 years was 0, the youth of age 12 conducted various crimes that totaled to almost 5 thousands. As the age increases the crime rate also increased, as it is noticed by the dramatic increase of crimes between the age group 12-16 years. 20 years old adolescents peaked up with the most crimes among all the people. After the age 20 the crimes fell drastically to almost 20000 for the group of people with the age 28. From there onward the number of crimes fell gradually to just below 10 thousand crimes committed by the people aged 60 years.
With regards to forms of crimes, almost half of the crimes were due to violent. Drug crimes and property crimes accounted for just above a fifth each with only 9% for public order misconducts.
