The line graph provides information on the number of male amd female residents of Bhutan who smoked between 1960 and 2000.
Overall, the population of men smokers reduced over time, while that of the women fluctuated. However, there were more male smokers.
In 1960, 600 males consumed cigarettes. This population declined in 1965 to about 599 and continued in this fashion. By 2000, the number of men living in Bhutan who inhaled smoke from cigarettes had significantly reduced to approximately 298 individuals.
Contrary to this, the amount of female smokers in 1960 was around 40. This population rose to approximately 160 in 1965 and this trend continued till in 1975, when they accounted for 360 people. Following this year, the number of women who inhaled smoke from cigar started to drop and by 2000, they were around 150 individuals.
Of particular note is the population of men smokers which remained higher than the women throughout the four decades.
