The line graph illustrates past and predicted future overweight rates in nine countries from 1970 to 2020. The weight gain rates in all countries experienced an increasing trend where the highest percentage of overweighted people was in USA and lowest was in Korea.
The rates in USA was delined from 45% to 42% in 1970 and 1977. After that it climbed up rapidly and reached 75% in 2020 and it maintained the highest position for overweighted people in all nine countries after 1985. Similarly, the overweight rates in England also showed fast growing nature and moved to 69% in 2020 where it was just 45% in 1990. In Canada, the overweighted rates increased only 5% from 1995 to 2020. Though Spain, Austria, Italy and France exhibited some fluctuation in their figure, the rates was not that much increased from 1980 to 2020. However, Australia experienced an upward trend and it is quiet similar to Endland. Only 35% overweighted people lived in Australia in 1985. Nevertheless, it moved to 65% in 2020. Moving to Korea, it showed a lowest overweighted rates and it was 25% in 1998 and finally 35% in 2018.
Overall, the overweighted rates in all countries performed an upward figure. However, USA was highest overweighted country and Korea was lowest.
