The graphic represents the changes in the number of students from other countries at the University of De Salle in the period between 1980 and 2020.
One of the outstanding features is the high figures of the Indian student enrolment. The other prominent graph characteristic is the small numbers of the people from Columbia throughout the whole period. Also, the tendencies of the lines of Vietnam and Nepal illustrate notable similarity until 2010.
According to the statistics, the majority of the international students are represented by the students from India. Despite beginning in third place in 1980, by 1990 the number rose significantly, leading Indians to become the largest group by quantity among foreign students. After that, the figures climbed up dramatically, standing at 15 thousand by 2020.
At the same time, Colombian students stayed at the bottom of the graphics, despite a marginal steady increase, comprising 1500 in 2020.
Meanwhile, the numbers of Vietnamese and Indonesian learners showed the same stable substantial growth, although from 1990 to 2010 the part of Indonesian disciplines was larger. However, between 2010 and 2020, Indonesian figures started to decline, while the quantity of Vietnamese students soared, leading to the change of positions in the statistics.
