Overall, it is evident that France and Spain have been more visited by tourist in those years while the number of people visiting Japan fell slightly.
In 1990, France attracted about 45 million foreign tourists, the highest among the three nations. This number rose steadily to 60 million of tourists in 2005 and peaked at approximately 82 million by 2020. Spain, on the other hand, started with 30 million visitors, then it began growing slowly reaching 40 million in 2000. Following this trend, it continued to rise significantly and reached a peak at about 75 million of tourist in 2020.
Meanwhile, the number of foreign visitors in Japan was about 40 million at the beginning. However, Japan showed that the amount of visitors were decreased to about 35 million in two decades.
