Overall, armed robbery and assault had the highest number of crimes however, armed robbery dropped siginificantly in the middle of the period while assault rose considerably at the end of the period. On the other hand, murder remained the lowest commited crime throughout the decade.
At the beginning, armed robbery reported the highest number of crimes in 2003 with approximately 3,400. It then increased to roughly 400 crimes in 2004, which by far the highest number of crimes commited between 2003 to 2012. Howover, the number dropped steadily to just over 1000 in 2008. With a slight increase in 2012, the occurence of robbery crimes ended with a figure of 1500.
Meanwhile, assault registered 2300 crimes in 2003. It fluctuated in the year 2004 to 2008, rose to just above 2500 then fluctuated again in 2011, but ended the period with 2800, which holds the highest number in 2012. Lastly, murder had the least number of crimes reported throughtout the period with 500 in 2003 to 600 in 2012.
