Overall, there were an significant increase in accessed news sources, with the exception for TV and print that experienced a downward trend. Meanwhile, the accessed website was the the highest contribution throughout the periode, while print sources attributed for the smallest one.
In 2012, people who accessed news website source witnessed the greatest share in the USA, making it higher than TV with slight discrepancy by 3% (at around 78% and 75% respectively). In following the next year, both sources occupied similarly a slight rise. Moreover, people who used news print source comprised twice higher than that of social media, which increased in the next year, but the latter remained stable in the lowest contribution at under 30%.
By 2025, news website sources that was used by people in the USA experienced a gradual increase to reach the peak portion at 82% to be the biggest percentages, while TV had observed a slight decrease to 71%. Interestingly, in 2014 the proportion of print and social media had the same number at 30%, but the latter toke over after increasing signifiantly to gain 40%, while the former had accounted for the lowest portion after experiencing dramatic jump at 25%.
