Overall, spendings on food was the highest compared to other things. While clothing saw significant rise, spendings on food, leisure, transport and energy has declined.
In 1960 food had the highest spendings, with about 34 percentage, while energy had the lowest, about 5 percentage. However, after the 1960, the percentage of spendings on food and energy decreased significantly from 34 to 12 percentage.
Moreover, the percentage of spendings on clothing and transport were almost similar in 1960 as the leisure and clothing in 2000. But transport saw the gradual decline from 10 percentage to 6 percentage between 1960 and 2000. Clothing began with 9 percantage, but later rose significantly, crossing the 15 and spendings on leisure dropped from 20 to 11 percentage.
