The line graph gives the information about the proportion of five different expenditures ( food, leisure, clothing, transport, energy) in a European countrie between 1960 and 2000.
Overall percentage of spending for all products except clothing was decreased considerably over the period. At the beginning demand for food made up highest rates in contrast to energy was lowest one.
The proportion of expenditure for food started at around 33 % in 1960, a figure that then decreased dramatically to about 14% in 2000. In 1960 demand for clothing was just under 10% but this was followed by significant increase to around 15% in 2000. The proportion of clothing when constituted around 14% crossed with leisure’s rate in 1990 also , with food’s rate at the end of the period.
Starting at 20% in 1960, the percentage of leisure in a country declined consistently to around 12% in 2000. Demand for other two products transport and energy accounted for 10 % and about 5% in 1960 and this was followed by a gradual decrease to about 5% and 1% respectively.
