In the next decade , the former experiencied a slight drop of 3% and latter showed a small decline of 1% . By 2000 , figures for both Food chain and energy surplus had declined to 15% steadily and to 2% marginally .
In 1960 , the spending for leisure ranked second with the figure standing at just 20% , before dropping further to about 12% until 2000
At the beginning , the starting points of figures for clothing and transport were close 9% and 10% respectively . In the next four decades , the percentage pf clothing increased to 16% , surpassing all figures . Conversely , that of transport declined gradually by 5% .
