The line graph illustrates the percentage of the tourists who visited four different attractions in Bangkok, Thailand – the Bangkok Zoo, Sea world, the Wax Museum, and the China Tower – over a four year period between 2014 and 2017.
Overall, tourist preferences shifted considerably over the period. The Wax museum experienced the strong rise in popularity and became the most visited site by the end of the timeframe. In contrast, both Bangkok Zoo and Sea World showed downwards trends, while China Tower display the sharp increase followed by the sharp decline.
In 2014, Sea World was the most popular destination, attracting around 70% of tourists, while approximately half of visitors went to Bangkok Zoo. The Wax Museum and Chinatown were less popular, at roughly 45% and 20% respectively. By 2016, the proportion visiting the Wax Museum had climbed to nearly 90%, and Chinatown peaked at close to 100%. However, in the final year, Chinatown’s figure dropped steeply to about 10%. Meanwhile, Sea World continued to decline, reaching approximately 20%, and visits to Bangkok Zoo fell gradually to below 10%.
