The bar chart illustrates the proportion of tourists who visited four attractions in Thailand – the Bangkok Zoo, Sea World, the Wax Museum, and the China Tower – between 2014 and 2017.
Overall, the Wax Museum experienced a dramatic increase in popularity, becoming the most visited site by 2017, whereas Sea World and China Tower, despite dominating in earlier years, saw sharp declines. The Bangkok Zoo showed a fluctuating but generally downward trend.
In 2014, Sea World was the most popular attraction, drawing around 70% of visitors, followed by the Bangkok Zoo at about 50%. The Wax Museum attracted just under 40%, while the China Tower lagged behind at roughly 30%.
By 2015, the China Tower witnessed a remarkable surge to just over 80%, overtaking all other sites. Meanwhile, the share of visitors to the Bangkok Zoo halved to 25%, and Sea World declined modestly.
In 2016, the China Tower peaked at nearly 98%, far ahead of the other attractions. The Wax Museum also gained visitors, while both Sea World and the Zoo stabilized between 50% and 70%. However, by 2017, the trend reversed: the Wax Museum rose sharply to over 70%, becoming the leading destination, whereas China Tower, Sea World, and the Bangkok Zoo all declined significantly.
