The line graph depicts the percentage of European citizens of various age groups who usually went to the gym from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, the group of 44-54 aged dwellers in Euro accounted for the highest percentage among the given groups in most of the surveyed period. Notebly, the figures for all age groups witnessed a rise.
In 1990, the proportion of group 44-53 aged constituted the most, standing for over 15%. It followed by the data on group 34-43 aged people, by about 1%. The percentage of group 16-23 was lowest, at 5%. From 1990 to 1998, the figures for group 18-23 and group 24-33 experienced a similar trend, which was stable for the first four years and slight increase by about 2% in the following four years. Besides, despite of significant growing to about 18% in the data on group 34-43 age and arround 23% in the figure for group 44-53 age for the first four years, the figures reduced by about 5% to 1998.
From 1998 to 2010, while the figure for group 24-33 age slightly increased to 10%, the opposite trend was true for the data on the group 18-23 to about 6%. There was a gradual increase to over 25% in the figure for group 44-53. Interstingly, after reaching the peak at 25%, the percentage of European residents of group 34-43 quickly fell to under 20%.
