The line graph illustrates the level of consumption of spreads from the year 1981 to the year 200
Firstly, we notice that there is a downward trend in the consumption of butter throughout the years as they dramatically decrease from roughly 140 grams in 1981 to approximately 50 grams in 2007.
Secondly, the low fat and reduced spreads had peaked in 2001 reaching 80 grams to then fluctate until the year of 2007 reaching almost 70 grams.
Thirdly, for the margarine we notice a fluctating trend over the year as they do not surpass the interval between 80 grams and 100 grams.
To conclude, the level of consumption of these spreads have been changing over the years with the butter spead having a dramatic change and the low fat and reduced spreads having a surprising peak.
