However, this category declined dramatically to nearly 50 grams by 2007. Margarine stood at about 90 grams in 1981, followed by a declined slightly to 80 grams in 1986, however, this trend rose moderately to 100 grams in 1991 before witnessed declining to approximately 40 grams in 2007.
Low fat & and reduced spreads accounted for around 10 grams in 1996. Furthermore, its consumption increased substantially to nearly 90 grams in 2001.Additionally, this trend decreased mildly to about 70 grams by 2007.
