The given line graph illustrates the variations in the population size(in millions), birth rate and death rate( per thousand people) over a period of three centuries, specially between 1700 to 2000. The displayed data clearly establishes the relation of the birth rate and the death rate with population size. The dashed line represents the change in birth rate, broken line displays pollution size and continued line reflects the death rate.
Overall, birth rate and death rate showed minor changes over the period of time, while pollution size expanded dramatically. In the beginning, where birth rate and death rate were nearly same, population size was the lowest. Towards the middle of time surveyed, the difference between both given rates increased slightly but the population size continued to rise. During the last decades, where birth rate increased and death rate declined, population size reached the peak.
To consider the trend path followed by the birth rate and the death rate, they both reached their peaks in 1750s to 1800(around 40 and 37 respectively). In the beginning, death rate was less than 27 and the birth rate was 30, which continued to grow upto 1750, where the highest rates of all times were recorded, a figure that Both rate’s maintained till 1800, after which both generally followed a downward trend. However,in the last 5 decades, where birth rate was increased from 23 to 43, death rate wasthe lowest, figured as 20.
In the 1700, the population size was the lowest, numbered as 2.5 million, which increased four times in 1750. During the next five decades, the population size stayed stable. From 1800, population size expanded significantly, which rose upto 5 times by the end of period surveyed, reaching the peak in 2000, which was approximately 50 million people which was 47.5 million higher then that if the first year population size.
