The chart illustrates the proportion of people who opted in four different age categories in a particular Australian country from 1976 to 2010.

Overall, females aged 18-25 has seen a rather surprising rise between 1976 and 2010, meanwhile, women aged 26 -34 increased significantly throughout the period. However, the percentage of male workers both sectors 18-25 and 26-34 suffered a tremendous drop.

In 1975,the highest percentages employed aged group were males standing at 100%. Men aged 18-35 stood at 75% of employed. Nonetheless, the proportion of females had the smallest rate at 55% and 25% respectively.

It is apparent that the percentage of female workers aged 26-34 in 1976 had skyrocketed from 25% to just under at 80%. Likewise, women aged 18-25 followed s similar upward trend compared to women aged 26-34, rising from 55% in 1975 to 65% in 2010, although its growth was more gradual.

Regarding to the downward trends, the percentage of male workers aged 26-34 starting slightly decline from 100% in 1975 to just under at 90% in 2010. Similar downward trend was observed with men aged 18-35 staring from 75% in 1975 to 68% at end of the period.
