The moviegoers, aged 14-24, experienced a dip in 1988, when their numbers declined rapidly but they rose significantly over the next 10 years. Furthermore, in 1978 the cinema visitors from this age gruop accounted for 90% , whereas at the end they constituted only 80%. Likewise, the portion of those, aged from the 25-34, decreased noticeably but jumped again.
It is noticeable that the fraction of cinema visitors from the oldest two age groups also fluctuated wildly. Their lines ran parallel from 1978 to 2003. The fraction of the moviegoers aged 35-49 was higher with 20% than those who are older than 50. Moreover, the lines met at 50% at the end of the period, when the percentages of the younger dropped, whereas the portion of the oldest jumped.
Overall, the percentages of all age groups fluctuated and witnessed a rapid decline in 1988 but increased over the next 10 years. In addition, at the end of the period the lines narrowed.
