The line graph represents data about the percentage of travel in terms of four different modes namely car, bus, rail and others between 1985 and 2015.
Overall, it is clear that car usage has experienced a significant growth in transport system. In addition, the bus reduced dramatically. Whereas, the others remained at the lowest.
According to data, car transport started at 30% in 1985 and rose to its peak point with around 86% in 2000. However, despite the fact of it declined to 70% in 2015, it is still the most common mean of transportation among people. In the beginning of the period, bus usage was the most popular way to travel with more than 50% before dropping to 20% in 2000. In 2015, it followed a similar trend, declining to less than 10%. Similarly, rail decreased from 20% to around 10% in 2000 and then increased to 20% by the end of the period. As for other modes, it initiated at less than 10% in 1985 and then decreased to around 5% by 2000 and finally increased to approximately 7% by the end of period.
