The line graph illustrates the price of bananas in US dollars per kilogram in four different countries from the year 1996 to 2004.
Overall, it is clear that, except for one year, the banana price in Japan is the highest compared to others. Moreover, this product in the USA stays in the final place throughout the period.
To begin with, Japanese bananas began the year 1994 at a 2 and dramatically fluctuated 1.5 in 2003. A significant increase was seen in the last year which arrived at 2.5. Furthermore, the price in France also began at 2 and hovered at this level for two years. It slightly oscillated to 2 again in 2003 before levelling off until in 2004. What is interesting to note is that both of them are at the same number in the beginning but end the record in a meagre 0.5 gap.
Additionally, The value of bananas in Germany was at 1.5 and swang to roughly 1.25 in 1999. It continuously escalated to 2 in 2002 and dropped as well as remaining constant at 1.75 in 2004. Finally, The USA which was at a miniscule 1 ended the year 2004 at approximately 1.2. What is surprising to see is that in the year 1999, both Germany and America are at the same number which is about 1.2.
