Overall, Canada imported the largest amount of wheat over the period of six years. Conversely, export in Australia were relatively smaller among the three countries. However, European Community witnessed a moderate number of import initially but ended up with the highest unit.
The amount of export in Canada started at under 20 million tonnes in 1985, then decreased to approximately 17 million in 1986 before reaching 25 million in 1988. Afterwards, export declined to below 15 million followed by a slight increase to around 18 million tonnes in 1990. On the other hand, export in Australia rose gradually from 15 million to 16 million between the year 1985 and 1986 before levelled off at 12 million tonnes in 1989 to 1990.
In terms of export in European Community, the quantity began at 17 million units in 1985 followed by a dip at 14 million in 1986. Meanwhile, between 1986 and 1990, the European union experienced a steady increase in export and reached at about 21 million tonnes in the final year.
