The maps illustrate how a bookstore has changed from a year of 2000 to the present day.
Overall, it is obvious that the store has upgraded the facilities into a more modern layout, with a new cafe as well as seating area added in the central space.
In 2000, the bookstore was dominated by various book sections, including a huge area for fiction and non-fiction shelves. Smaller sections such as art, hobbies, and cookery were located in the center, while near the entrance gate, customers could also find a service desk and a small area for new books.
In the present era, the layout of the bookstore shows a significant reduction especially in the book shelves. This new layout also introduces new customer-facilities with various tables and chairs for reading. A cafe has also been added to the lower right corner of the store, replacing the non-fiction book area. Meanwhile, the travel, new books and service desk remain in the same positions, the fiction section has been removed to the upper right corner.
