The maps illustrate a comparison of a bookstore in 2000 and now. The bookstore set up several new sections and changes on the layout.
In 2000, the section for fiction books was located near the entrance. The bookstore provided a wide range of fiction. Next to this section was books related to travel. New books were also displayed closely to this section. Right next to it was the service desk. Not too far away from travel and new books section, there were three sections for art, hobbies, and cookery. On the opposite of these three, there was a section for non-fiction books. However, there were limited choices for non-fiction compared to fiction.
Now, there are several changes on the layout. The section near the entrance, which was only for fictions then, is filled with art, hobbies, cookery, then followed by both fiction and non fiction books. This shows that the bookstore limited the number of fiction books. Meanwhile, the section for travel books and display for new books stay the same. The bookstore opened a cafe and set up three tables for people to read and have some food or beverage. The service desk stays where it has been previosuly, right next to the display for new books.
