The above two maps represent same location with some changes happened in American town between the years 1948 and 2010
Looking for an overall perspective, we can see that the overall area has neither contracted or expanded. Newer buildings have developed everywhere except the south east residential area
To start with, it is visible that factories situated on north east corner was demolished to construct an airport and commercial buildings. Similarly, supermarket is built in the place of lake which is next to factories. It should be noticed that four commercial buildings were constructed on southwest side of the supermarket.Back in 1948 a church was in the place of stadium which is visible in 2010 towards the south direction
On the other hand, a variety of features of the town didn’t change throughout the given period. The residental houses which is in the right corner, trees and the canal remained exact same from 1948 to 2010. Subsequently, the petrol stations and roads in the north remained almost same in 2010 as they were in 1948.
