The map demonstrates how an American town on a river looked in 1954 and how it looks now.
Overall, it can be seen that the town has been turned into a commercial area from an industrial one, since the factories have been demolished and seven commercial buildings have been constructed. Also, the significant development is a new airport.
To begin, the residential area of town has undergone small changes. While six houses in the West side have been replaced by two business buildings, another eleven in the right bank of the river have stayed with no change. In the next block, to the south of the houses, there is a new stadium in the place of the old church.
One more striking change is a relocation of the local supermarket with a removal of the park. After more than 70 years, it has moved two quartals to the North, where the park was located, and its former location has been taken by two new commercial constructions. The area of factories has been used to build a new airport and another three commercial buildings. The petrol station and trees around the whole city have remained unchanged.
