The maps illustrate the changes that occurred in an American town from 1945 to 2010. Overall, significant transformations took place, particularly the conversion of factories into commercial buildings, along with the addition of several amenities.
In the northeast part of the town, factories present in 1945 were replaced by an airport and various commercial buildings. Additionally, a supermarket was built in place of a lake. Two commercial buildings were constructed southwest of the supermarket, where six industrial areas used to exist.
To accommodate two more commercial buildings on the west side of the map, a local supermarket was demolished. A church located in the south was transformed into a sports stadium. Furthermore, the petrol station in the north remained untouched, as did the residential houses situated in the eastern part of the town.
