in 1960,the zoo quite basic. the main entrance was from the north via the harbour. there was sparate areas for african animals, aiustralian animals,birds and chimpanzees.a seal show was located in northest ,next to a picnic area .a gift shop was also present near the center.
now ,the zoo has undergone many changes.the entrance has moved to the south and a ferry and a cable car have add to improve access.the chimpenzees and birds area have removed. A new wild life area added at southern side and the african and australia animal enclosers have relocated.the shop remain in their orgnial location.the new picnic area have added.
these changes suggest a mojar upgrade in infrastructrure and visitor convenince.
