The given map compares the differences between the former layout of a zoo in Australia and its rearrangement now.
Overall, this zoo has been modernized, with the addition of new transportation infrastructure and the relocation of several sections. Additionally, a gift shop has been upgraded. Despite all of the changes, its picnic area and its Australian animals enclosure have remained unchanged throughout.
Regarding the eastern area of the zoo, the picnic area was located in the east corner and stayed unchanged throughout the period. The chimpanzees enclosure used to be in the central part, below the birds section and the seal show. However, the birds and chimpanzees cages have been completely removed to make room for the new locations of the seal show and the African animals area, which are now located in the middle of the map. Remarkably, a cable-car system has been constructed between the picnic area and the middle section, whereas the old gift shop has been expanded into a two-story building. The northern part of the map used to feature a harbour, but it has been relocated because of the construction of a ferry and a new entrance, which both occupy the northeastern corner of the zoo.
The western side of this zoo also underwent several changes. Another new entrance has been added in the southern part, while the African animals cage, which was in the western corner, has been relocated to make space for a wild animals area. Additionally, the old harbour has been moved to the northwest. Despite the significant redevelopment, the Australian animals enclosure has remained unchanged over the timeframe.
