The seaside area has experienced substantial transformation since 1995, evolving from a predominantly rural and utilitarian landscape into a modern, urbanized environment centered around residential and recreational amenities. The most striking developments include the complete removal of the farmland and forest park, the significant expansion of housing and hotel facilities, and the introduction of new infrastructure such as a golf course, tennis courts, a car park, and a block of apartments.
In 1995, the northern section of the area was largely characterized by agricultural land and a forest park. These natural and undeveloped features have since been replaced by a large golf course and several tennis courts, signaling a shift toward leisure-oriented land use. Additionally, the existing residential area in the northwest has been considerably extended, with new houses constructed adjacent to the original development.
In the central part of the map, the former shopping area, previously situated west of the hotel, has been replaced by a restaurant. This change, coupled with the addition of a spacious car park next to the hotel, reflects a reorientation of the area towards tourism and hospitality, aiming to cater to an increased number of visitors.
Perhaps the most dramatic transformation is observed along the southern coastline. What once served as a functional working harbor — featuring a fish market and fishing port — has been completely redeveloped. These facilities have been demolished, and in their place, a modern row of sea-facing apartments has been constructed, highlighting the region’s shift away from an economy based on fishing towards one that prioritizes residential living and tourism.
Overall, the area has undergone a comprehensive reconfiguration, transitioning from a modest rural and fishing-based economy to a more sophisticated, service-driven environment focused on residential expansion and recreational facilities.
