The maps illustrate the changes that have taken place in the Science Park between 2008 and now. Overall, the park has witnessed dramatic transformation during this period, becoming noticeably less green and more modernized with the construction of new facilities, while some key features remained unchanged.
In 2008, the Science Park was greener place due to the grassland in the northwest, and the woodland in the southwest. The business center was located between these green places. The park also had offices and reception situated in the north of the map. In the middle of the park, there was a car park. The IT center and building of Cyber Security were located in the southern side of the park.
In the present day, the Science Park has seen extensive development. The most noticeable change include the consturction of Research and Development centre on the side of the grassland and the convertion of reception into the University Hub. Another development is that the IT centre has been replaced with the Innovation Centre. Moreover, the building of Cyber Security and the car park were expanded to enhance accessibility. Last development that have taken place in the park is introduction of a station to the south of park.
Despite these changes, some key features have remained unchanged: the woodland and offices still stand in their original locations, remaining their initial design and function.
