Overall, the science park has undergone considerable redevelopment. While several original buildings, including the Business Units and Cyber Security centre, have been retained, a number of new facilities and transport links have been added, making the park more modern and accessible.
In 2008, the science park contained four main buildings. The Business Units were situated in the west, while the IT Centre occupied the south-western corner. A Cyber Security building was located in the south-east, and the Offices with a Reception were positioned in the north-east. Large areas of grassland were found in the north-west and south-west, with a small woodland area in the south. A central road connected the different parts of the park.
Today, several significant changes can be seen. The Reception has been replaced by a University Hub, while a new Research and Development building has been constructed in the north-west, replacing part of the former grassland. The IT Centre has been converted into an Innovation Centre, whereas the Business Units and Cyber Security building have remained in their original locations. In addition, a railway has been introduced along the eastern side of the park, together with a station in the south-east and two bus stops. A cycle path has also been added, improving transport within the science park. Despite these developments, the Offices and some woodland have been preserved.
