Overall, the area underwent substantial redevelopment, with the most noriceable changes involving rapid urbanisation. While several new facilities were introduced and new flats were constructed, some parts remained unchanged.
Turning to the eastern section, considerable redevelopment took place. Cafe and park were converted into hotel and golf course, while demolishment of houses occured, replacing them by blocks of flats. Likewise, theatre and shops both upgraded into cinema and supermarket. Furthermore, new flats were erected adjacent to blocks of flats.
Regarding with the western part, further modifications were made. Playing fields with trees, which located in the northern area, were demolished to make way for blocks of flats. Similarly, trees and bank dissappeared to give way to technopark and restaurant, while school remained relatively the same. Hospital witnessed extensive expansion, whereas library continued to occupy the same position. Last but not least, the high street roud, which runs through the middle, remained intact throughout the period.
