The two maps demonstrate the current layout of an industrial site and a proposal plan to transform it into a residential area in the future.
Overall, the site is expected to undergo significant changes with most of the industrial and office buildings being replaced by houses and gardens,among other new facilities.
At present, the site is surrounded by Chimney Road in the north,Pie Walk in the east,Swallow Street in the south and Toe lane in the west.However,there is only a way to get into the site by the entrance and reception located on the Chimney Road in the north.Once inside, a yard is occupied in the center of the industrial site and the workers can park their vehicles in the parking lot situated in the west of the site, just below which is a storage facility.In the south of the map is an area contained many offices and canteen for employees while in the east puts a major factory.
According to the renovation, only the surrounding roads will remain unchanged.In contrast, the entrance and reception with the yard will be demolished to make way for bedroom houses and communal gardens surrounded by three private roads.Moreover, the parking and the storage will have the similar strategy with the former which will be replaced by the 3 bedroom house and 4 bedroom house.New parking facilities are also planned,including the parking garages on Swallow Street and a parking area for the residents of an apartment in the eastern of the map.
