The given illustrations depict the changes taking place in a bookshop from 2000 until now.
Looking at the maps, the area in question has undergone a range of significant developments, with many of which being intended to serve the demand of reading and purchasing books for everyone. Some of the most noticeable include the rearrangement of some different books sections, as well as the introduction of a coffee shop and more relaxing seats.
Starting from the entrance on the left-hand side of the bookstore, the travel section is on the right, while the new books section lies directly on the left. Both areas, along with the service desk located in the southeastern corner, have been left intact throughout the period from their original positions. Moving toward the left-hand side of the map, while the rows of art, hobbies and cookery books, once/previously situated centrally, have been relocated to align horizontally with the fiction section on the westside of the store, the whole fiction space has been reduced in size to accommodate these sections.
The site where various bookshelves used to stand in the center of the bookstore in 2000 has been replayed by three sets of tables, creating a leisure space for customers. Next to this area, a coffee shop has by now been constructed on the northeast to replace the non-fiction bookshelf. Meanwhile, the fiction space in the upper left corner of the room has been removed to be reserved for non-fiction books mentioned above.
