The maps illustrate the change in the bookstore between 2000 and now. Overall, there have been significant changes in the location of the book category and cafe except for travel and new books. In addition, there has been less space dedicated to fiction and more tables and chairs in the store.
In 2000, the fiction section was located on the left-hand side of the bookstore and spanned to the far left corner. The travel section was in front of the entrance, while the new book was beside the travel section. A service desk was in the near right corner of the bookstore. In the middle of the bookstore, the art, hobbies, and cookery sections were located there, and the non-fiction section was on the right-hand side.
At present, the fiction section has been reduced in size to add sections such as art, hobbies, and cookery. The travel, new books, and service desk do not change positions. In the middle, many sections have been replaced with three-table desks, and on the right side, non-fiction sections have been moved to the far left corner of the bookstore.
