The map illustrates how the 25 years of redevelopment have changed the layout of Bookstore.
It is clear that the bookstore has been redesigned with the addition of a café and several tables for customers. While the general layout has been modernized to provide more space for reading and relaxation, most of the book sections have been rearranged or slightly relocated.
In 2000, the main entrance was located on the west side of the bookstore. On the north side, there were two fiction sections, one on each corner. In the central part of the store, there were areas for Art, Hobbies, Cookery, Travel, and New Books. In the southwest corner, there was a service desk, while the Non-fiction section occupied the southern part of the bookstore.
Now, there are several changes and new facilities added to the bookstore. The Art, Hobbies, Cookery, and Fiction sections are still on the north side, but their arrangement has slightly changed. The number of Fiction areas remains the same. In the center, three tables have been added for customers to sit and read books. The Non-fiction section has been removed and replaced by a cafe on the south side. The Travel and New Book sections as well as the Service Desk on the west side have remained unchanged from its original configurations.
