The maps illustrate some changes to the civic centre in the future.

Overall, the civic centre experienced considerable changes during the period shown. The most noticeable differences between the two maps will be the appearance of some new facilities such as a cafe, a hotel, a restaurant, and the disappearance of car parks.

As can be seen from the chart, the car park in the northwest corner will be transformed into a cafe while the car park in the northeast will be substituted by a hotel and a restaurant. Surprisingly, there will be no modifications for the cinema in the top centre, high street and smith street on both sides.

Turning to the other features, the exhibition in the southwest will be replaced by council officers.Besides, the council officers between the old exhibition and the town hall will be constructed as an underground library. Additionally, the underground car park will be constructed behind the town hall. Moreover, the library in the southeast corner will be converted into an exhibition. Finally, no disparities will be recorded in the location of the shopping centre in the southeast in front of the old library.
