The provided maps delineate the changes of a coal mining site past and present after reconstruction.
Overall, it is noticeable that, coal mining site was converted into residential area. Most of constructions have been undergone dramatic changes only parking lot and mine entrance remained still.
In terms of past, office and staff’s changing room were located next to parking and mine entrance for workers in the north side. There were lorry park which was specially for trucks and right beside it were two waste pits also a medical room situated in the center of area.
In terms of present, those office and changing room have been converted into one main museum for citizens and medical room has been changed to a cafe. Two waste pits have been cleared to make way to green space where picnic area and driving truck track placed. All facilities as well cafe in the green space have been surrounded by foot path and in the southeast corner children’s play ground has been built. In addition, parking lot and mine entrance have not experienced any transformation, despite this, it is now for visitors.
