The given maps compare the changes and enhancements of the visitors’s destination being reconstructed from a working mine.
In general, the place for buildings in the left-hand side remained but mostly changed with the exception of the entrance for underground mine and car park. Meanwhile, the right-hand area was changed significantly from waste tip to outdoor activity area.
To the right of the map, both of the waste tips situated at the bottom and the top were removed: instead, the large picnic area was added in the middle and between the digger driving track and children’s area after redevelopment. Located in the bottom-right corner, the children’s play area was next to the footpath.
Replacing the medical room and lorry park, a new cafe and souvenir shop was added to the left side of the food path. Looking to the west of the visitor’s attraction, office and staff changing room were combined to a museum, which was placed at the bottom of the car park. The entrance to underground mine was maintained in the same location but was enhanced for tourists.
