Band 6+: The maps below show a public park in 1990 and in 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Given are the two maps depicting the changes that have taken place in the layout of a public park over the period from 2018 to the present.

Overall, it is apparent from the maps provided that this public area witnessed dramatic changes over the period examined. However, there were some areas remained the same compared to the year 2018.

According to the 2018 map, there was a Buddha statue located in the middle, with a children’s play area to the west and a flower garden to the north of the map center. A Krishna temple and a toilet was situated to the top left-hand corner and to the top right-hand corner on the map, respectively. There was an entrance to the south of the map and lie next to was some shops. Finally, a Koi pond which situated to the bottom right-hand of the map.

The second map clearly show that modern facilities have been added as a result of the renovation. A right half of the flower garden has been felled and replaced with a stage for programs. A toilet has been replaced with a musium of local history in the old place and then it has been moved to the bottom left corner. An entrance has been removed and moved to the right-hand of the map which replaced with a cafe shop in the old place. The shops have been reduced next to the cafe shop. Especially, a Buddha and a Krishna temple, a children’s play area and Koi pond which has been remained unchanged to the present.
