The given maps show how a rural town has transformed into a larger city from 1993 to the present.
Overall, the increase in the number of houses shows how the population has grown throughout this period. There were also evident changes in infrastructure and amenities.
In 1983, the main road divided the town into northern and southern parts. The north side of the town contained a shop on the right side of the May River and other facilities on the left side. A school was situated exactly in front of the Riverbank. Behind it, in the northwest, there was a large forest and housing ares near the main road and the west side.
At present, the most notable change was the deforestation to make way for new houses, whose number has tripled over these years. A high road was added to the main road, leading to the housing area. A dam was built on the river on the northern side. In the northeast, a shop has been transformed into a big supermarket. In the southern part of the town, on the west side of Munster Road, everything has remained the same. In contrast, the farm on the east side has been converted into a petroleum station, and a new cafe has been built along Munster Road.
