The maps illustrate the current layout of an industrial area in Norbiton and the proposed future development of this site. Overall, the area is planned to transform from an industrial zone into a residential neighborhood with various amenities.
At present, there are eight factories scattered around a central roundabout and along the road extending east. A river flows from west to east across the northern boundary of the area, with farmland on the opposite bank. In the future development plan, new housing units will occupy both sides of the central roundabout and along the eastern road, replacing the existing factories. The plan includes a school towards the end of the eastern road as well as a playground in the north of this road near the river.
The development also includes a new road branching west from the main roundabout, leading to additional housing units and a few shops. A medical center will be positioned on the southeastern side of the roundabout. Furthermore, a bridge will be constructed over the river, connecting the main residential area to additional housing in the farmland area. Finally, a second roundabout will be added to the south, linking the main road with the town.
