The two maps show the difference in the town of Nelson in between the year 2000 until the present day.
Overall, The town of Nelson has been through a lot of development with many different transportation and shops.
The most noticeable change seems to be the new train station that comes with the new tram line that goes directly from the city center to the university. Students can also rent bikes with the new bike rental scheme in the city center. While a new hall of residence is built on the north-west side of the map, on the north-east side of the map, a new shopping center is built resulting in many trees being cut down.
On the south side of the map is the port. It looks like the road in front of the port only allows pedestrians to be on the road . A lot of new buildings have also been built such as a restaurant, bars and clubs along the road since the year 2000. The old market that was on the west side of the map is replaced by a new shop and moves to the east side of the map until the present.
