The diagrams in question display how a Spanish city called Castellon has developed since 2000 until now.
Overall, it is obvious that there has been a significant shift towards becoming a modern city.
One area which has seen notable improvement is the old marked located to the west of the city, which has been knocked down to make way for a new shop, and a new covered market has been built to the right of the city centre. Additionally, the northeast of Castellon used to be a green area, with lots of trees, however, the trees have been cut down to construct a new shopping centre. Besides, the old train station has been converted into a police station, and the new train station has been opened to the north of the city centre.
Another striking change is that a hall of residence has been constructed to the left of the university for students. Moreover, a new tramline has been set up running from the city centre to the university. Also, there has been the introduction of a new bike rental scheme. The main road has been pedestrianised, and a lot of entertainment facilities such as cinemas, bars, and clubs have been built along the port. In terms of the future, an airport is under construction at the moment.
